Why South Indian Coir (SICS) Is Your Best Choice for Coir Pith Export

Searching for a Coir Pith 5kg Block supplier in India? Many suppliers make the same promises. Here is what sets South Indian Coir (SICS) in Kangeyam, Tamil Nadu apart.

We are a direct manufacturer, not a trader, with a stated capacity of 200 tons per month. Our Kangeyam location helps us offer prices around 30% lower than Pollachi suppliers, with Low EC <0.5 guarantees, shipment documentation, and FOB Tuticorin access approximately 180 km away. More than 15 buyers in the Netherlands, USA, and Spain trust our coir products.

๐Ÿ’ง

High Water Retention (8-9x Weight)

Coir pith sponge-like cellular structure absorbs and retains up to 8-9 times its weight in water while maintaining ideal air capacity, reducing irrigation frequency and water waste.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ

Excellent Air Porosity (20-30%)

Even when fully saturated with water, coir maintains 20-30% air-filled porosity, promoting robust root oxygenation and preventing root rot fungal pathogens.

โ™ป๏ธ

100% Renewable & Eco-Friendly

Unlike natural peat bogs which take thousands of years to form, coconut coir is harvested continuously from renewable palm crops, protecting fragile wetland ecosystems.

๐Ÿงช

Optimal Neutral pH (5.8 - 6.5)

Coir naturally possesses a near-neutral pH suitable for most crops, eliminating the expensive lime buffering required when using acidic Sphagnum peat moss.

๐Ÿฆ

Naturally Pathogen & Weed Free

Aged and processed under high-temperature sun drying, coir is naturally free from soil-borne diseases, nematodes, and weed seeds.

๐Ÿ“ฆ

Highly Compressible for Shipping

Compressed at a 5:1 ratio into compact blocks and grow slabs, coir dramatically lowers container freight costs and carbon footprint during export.

2. Low EC <0.5 Guarantee, Backed by a CoA Report

Low EC should be supported by measurable results. SICS provides a written specification and lot-wise analysis for buyers who need consistency and clear documentation.

Written EC Guarantee

The invoice includes the written specification: โ€œEC <0.5 mS/cm.โ€ If EC exceeds 0.6 on arrival at Rotterdam, SICS will compensate $500 or replace the lot free of charge, subject to the agreed purchase terms. Testing uses a calibrated EC meter.

Certificate of Analysis with Each Container

Each container includes a lot-wise CoA with EC, pH, moisture, impurities, and expanded volume. The report includes the lot number and can support import and customs documentation requirements.

Three-Stage Fresh-Water Washing

Our process uses three washes with fresh borewell water, at approximately 3,000 litres per ton. The stated process reduces EC from around 2.5 to 0.35. Process photos and factory visits are available.

Every batch is checked with an EC meter before compression. Buyers can request a live test during a factory visit. SICS targets consistent EC results, typically 0.35โ€“0.45, from container to container. Buyers who have worked with SICS for three years value that consistency: greenhouse crops need similar EC levels in every batch, not one low reading followed by a higher one.

Export Documentation

SICS prepares export documentation, with documents typically ready within 48 hours:

  • Phytosanitary certificate from Plant Quarantine, where required by the destination.
  • Fumigation certificate and ISPM-15 treatment details for wooden pallets, according to destination requirements.
  • Lot-wise CoA covering EC, pH, moisture, and impurities.
  • Coir Board RCMC and APEDA RCMC registration details.
  • Valid Import Export Code (IEC) issued by DGFT.
  • GST, Udyam, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, and Packing List, as applicable to the shipment.
